Lure & Drum Halifax Single Malt

Nose

Warm orchard fruit opens first — baked apple and ripe pear — followed by a thread of sea-salted caramel and faint driftwood smoke. There's a quiet coastal note underneath, the kind you notice when the wind shifts off the harbour.

Palate

Round and unhurried. Toasted oak arrives early, giving way to brown butter, vanilla, and a mild spice — white pepper, a suggestion of dried ginger. The malt stays present throughout, steady and honest, with a texture that sits comfortably without demanding your attention.

Finish

Long and gently warming. A trace of dark honey lingers alongside dry oak and the faintest maritime salinity. It doesn't rush you out the door.

We don't chase complexity for its own sake. Andrew, Matt, and Richard built this whisky around restraint — letting the Nova Scotia climate, the cask, and time do what they do best. What's in the glass is the result of that patience.
